Do the video minutes meet the regulations?
Yes. The system meets the legal requirements for digital minutes: a concise record is drafted and a hash-coded document certifying the validity and integrity of the video is generated and signed by the council.
Is technical staff needed at each session?
No. Broadcasting is automatic, driven by the chamber's microphones. Manual directing is optional and done remotely from a browser.
What if the internet drops?
Local audio and video recording starts automatically and allows the session to be post-produced. With an on-premise server, the recording is also redundant.
Can it be browsed by agenda item?
Yes. The video is indexed: the portal gives direct access to each agenda item, each intervention, the voting results and the transcript.
Is it accessible?
It supports subtitles, transcription, picture in picture for a sign language interpreter and parallel feeds with their own audio for simultaneous translation.
Are we locked into the licence?
